King Crimson Reunite, Announce Tour
The ever-evolving King Crimson have finally announced the full touring schedule for their latest iteration, which was unveiled nearly a year ago. The guys will still start things off with two nights of shows at The Egg in Albany, NY, on September 9 and 10. From there, it’s on to shows in Philadelphia, Boston, and a three-night stint at the Best Buy Theater in Manhattan from September 18 to 20. They’ll then play the Barrymore Theatre in Madison, WI, on September 23 and head on to shows in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The band will finish up the tour at the Moore Theatre in Seattle on October 6.
First formed in London, King Crimson is a unique band with a history spanning nearly 50 years. In that time, the group has released over a dozen albums, changed its lineup eight times, gone on hiatus four times and practically invented the sub-genre of progressive rock. The only constant has been leader and guitarist Robert Fripp. In September of last year, Fripp announced the newest band lineup, which featured the dropping of longtime vocalist Adrian Belew in exchange for Jakko Jakszyk, the return of saxophonist/flutist Mel Collins, and the addition drummer Bill Reiflin.
