Kings of Leon Not Breaking Up, Heading Out on 2013 Tour
UPDATE: V Festival
Kings of Leon have been confirmed as one of the headliners of this year’s V Festival. Held annually in the United Kingdom, the festival takes place at two parks simultaneously and share the same bill – those parks being Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire. Bands and artists perform at one location on Saturday and then swap on Sunday.
Set to take place August 17 and August 18, the festival dates will be a return to the UK for the band after performing there in June and July.
Other acts on the bill include the other headliner, Beyonce, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines, Stereophonics, Emeli Sandé, Jason Mraz, Fun., Ellie Goulding, Kendrick Lamar and many more.
Tickets are on sale now and the best deals on all V Festival tickets can be found right here at SeatGeek.

UPDATE
Kings of Leon will be heading to Poland in 2013. Joining Blur and Queens of the Stone Age, the band will also headline the Open’er Festival, set to take place at Gdynia-Kosakowo Airfield in Gdynia between July 3 and July 6. The festival is sponsored by Heineken and has been running since 2002, when the headliners back then were The Chemical Brothers.
The band also recently announced their plans to play other European festivals with appearances in headline slots at Optimus Alive in Portugal and Rock Werchter in Belgium.

PREVIOUS NEWS
Let’s hope those breakup rumors will finally be laid to rest. Kings of Leon, who infamously canceled the majority of their 2011 tour, citing frontman Caleb Followhill’s battle with exhaustion and “vocal issues,” are giving the concert circuit another go. The first leg of the contentious rockers’ international trek will see the band hitting up venues throughout the UK, including London’s grandiose O2 Arena, as well as stadiums in Manchester and Birmingham.

Whispers of internal dissension first began during the summer of 2011, when Followhill stalked off stage at the end of a set in Dallas, cutting the night three-songs short. Whether he let family issues with fellow bandmates and brothers Nathan and Jared get in the way of his show-must-go-on mentality, whether he was drunk (as many assumed and the group denied), or whether he was, in fact, as worn out as his publicist claimed, has been a matter of speculation for over a year. What we can say for certain is Kings of Leon have announced plans to release an album of new material, possibly sometime in the new year. We’ll keep you updated as the band reveals more details on the new release – and on their expanding 2013 tour!
