KONGOS Announce First U.S. Headlining Tour
Arizona-by-way-of-South Africa alt rockers KONGOS have shared stages with notable names like Young the Giant and Kings of Leon, and now, they’re ready for their turn in the spotlight. Staring January 29 at Gas Monkey Live! in Dallas, TX, KONGOS will embark on their “Lunatic Tour”. After Dallas, the band will head to Tulsa, OK; Houston, TX; Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY (at Irving Plaza); Toronto, ON; Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; Milwaukee, WI; Denver, CO; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Riverside, CA; and, finally, Los Angeles, CA, for a show at The Wiltern on March 13. Formed by brothers Dylan (the bassist and vocalist), Daniel (the guitarist and vocalist), Jesse (the drummer), and Johnny (the accordion player and keyboardist), KONGOS released their debut album, Lunatics, in 2012. They gained recognition with their No. 1 single, “Come With Me Now” and were included on Rolling Stone;s list of “10 New Artists You Need to Know.”
