Kung Fu Adds Dates to North American Tour
Funk-fusion band Kung Fu have just added more dates to their summer touring schedule. The tour kicks off on June 5 at Stage 48 in New York City, and it continues through Ozark, AR at Wakarusa Music Festival on June 8. From there, they’ll move through Barre, MA (at the Disc Jam Music Festival); Ballston Spa, NY; Shelton, CT; Londonderry, VT; Rothbury, MI; Denver, CO; Bellvue, CO; Bridgeport, CT; Croydon, NH; Bartow, WV; Chicago, IL; and Danville, IL for a final show at Phases of the Moon on September 11. Kung Fu will also play a show at Jam Cruise on January 6. Support for the tour comes in the form of The Shady Horns, The Nth Power, Jennifer Hartswick Band, Juno What, Elephant Wrecking Ball, and Turkuaz, depending on your specific date. Jazz fusion super supergroup Kung Fu, formed in New Haven, CT, is comprised of guitarist Tim Palmieri (formerly of The Breakfast), keyboardist Todd Stoops (formerly of RAQ), saxophonist Kris Jensen, bassist David Livolsi, and drummer Adrian Tramontano (also formerly of The Breakfast). In concert, the band performs a mix of cover songs, improvisational pieces, and original tunes.
