The pairing of Welsh experimentalist Cate Le Bon and Philadelphia Indie rocker Kurt Vile seems a little strange on paper. However, the sounds of Le Bon’s introspective album Reward paired with Vile’s navel-gazing tracks like “Pretty Pimpin'” might make for quite a serene evening. Fans of either artist are about to find out if they’re two great tastes that go great together, as Vile and Le Bon will tour together next spring.

The tour starts at Chicago’s Thalia Hall on April 8 and cuts a path to Pittsburgh’s Warhol from there. Shows at Boston’s Somerville Theater, New York’s Town Hall, and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia come soon after. A week off and a jump to the opposite coast will leave the pair to play back-to-back shows at Portland’s Aladdin Theater. After running down the coast and out into the Joshua Tree desert, the tour will close with a show at Austin’s Paramount Theatre.
