UPDATE 2/14/2013
One of the hardest-working dames in showbiz has, unfortunately, been forced to slow things down. Lady Gaga has canceled the rest of her Born This Way Ball Tour in order to undergo surgery on her hip. The singer has a labral tear of the right hip, an injury that not only necessitates medical intervention, but will require “strict downtime to recover” (per Live Nation) for the next several months.
No rescheduling plans are in the works, which means many of Gaga’s fans will just have to wait until her ARTPOP tour to see the singer live in person. Look out for those dates, and continuing Lady Gaga updates, in the months ahead!

UPDATE 2/13/2013
A very apologetic Lady Gaga has been forced to postpone four of her upcoming shows, Rolling Stone Magazine reports. The singer has been suffering from synovitis, severe inflammation of the joints, for some time now.
“I’ve been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal,” Gaga took to Twitter earlier this week, “but after last night’s performance I could not walk.”
Tonight (2/13) and tomorrow’s concerts at the United Center in Chicago have been postponed, in addition to two shows in Detroit and Hamilton, ON.
“To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now,” Gaga tweetd.
Fans in the affected regions will be able to show their support – and forgiveness! – once Gaga gets some much-needed rest. We’ll have all updates once the devoted diva releases them!
UPDATE
In addition to a sing-along great time, expect unconditional support – in the form of free counseling – at Lady Gaga’s upcoming shows. The altruistic diva has added the BornBrave bus to her ongoing tour, a safe space for fans to mingle and access “professional, private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school, & friends” should they need help, or simply an outlet to vent.
“BornBrave Bus Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously no judgment, FREE real help available to all,” the singer shared in a recent tweet.
“There will also be food and games,” she added.

It’s a trend many of the hottest acts in pop have already trailblazed – just not in Gaga’s towering shoes. Lady Gaga is the newest artist to star in an autobiographical documentary, a move Katy Perry popularized this past summer with A Piece of Me, and one which Beyonce is looking to personalize with an HBO doc slated for February. Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers have already experienced varying success at the movies, with each tween act releasing a concert doc long before the divas heard the bandwagon rumbling up the street.
Gaga’s choice of director is an appropriately “artsy” one for the ARTPOP singer: photographer Terry Richardson. Neither Gaga nor Richardson has revealed any details on a release date – so far, all we have is Gaga’s excited tweet to go on:
“I love you @Terry_World thank you for believing in me and my fans. I have looked up to you and your work for so long, its a dream come true!”

She’s written enough material for three, four, even five mulit-platinum (we’re assuming) albums, but apparently prolificacy is just how Lady Gaga works. The pop diva recently revealed she has around 50 songs in the bank for her upcoming ARTPOP album. Addressing her fans over Twitter last week, Gaga offered a rare look into her creative process, saying of her seemingly boundless creativity: “i don’t know what will rise to top. but thats how i wrote the fame/the fame monster.” Maybe – hopefully! – all those tunes that fail to make the record’s cut will end up on the singer’s interactive ARTPOP app.

Lady Gaga has debuted a new song!
…kind of.
The pop superstar recently presided over the Mugler fashion show in Paris, where she acted as the event’s music director. As the models walked the runway, a rap/spoken-word song called “Cake Like Lady Gaga” played in the background. Although the vocals belonged to a male performer, the lyrics were all about pumping up the DJ diva. Take a listen to the new track below – possibly a preview of Gaga’s upcoming ARTPOP album?

Though she was so nervous she admitted to swigging gin the day she recorded “The Lady is a Tramp” with Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga will once again move out of her comfort zone and into the studio with the legendary vocalist for a series of jazz duets. Bennett recently told Rolling Stone magazine Mother Monster called him up from New Zealand, where she’s currently touring, to pitch the idea of a collaborative album. For his part, the iconic singer of show tunes couldn’t have been more thrilled.
“I’m looking forward to it because a lot of people don’t know it, but she’s a phenomenal jazz singer,” Bennett said. No official production date has been set (“As soon as I can,” Bennett enthused), and the pair is also keeping mum on the composer whose songbook they’re looking to revive – someone “very underrated, very famous, but not as famous as Gerswhin or Porter.” With each singer equally smitten with the other, we’re thinking the duo has enough chemistry to enliven whichever tracks they choose. Always looking out for her fans, Lady Gaga is continuing to help little monsters everywhere love the way they were born. The singer’s latest initiative, “Body Revolution,” saw Gaga posting a picture of herself clad only in her bra and underwear on her social media site littlemonsters.com, an image meant to convey personal strength and self-love. Neither has been easy for the diva, who also admitted to struggling with bulimia. She had this to say about the “overwhelming” fan reaction to Body Revolution:
I have been startled and overwhelmed with pride and emotion the past few days. Gratitude mostly. Seeing you post photos of things on your bodies and in your minds that you feel society tells you you should be ashamed of. You are showing them you have no shame. You are brave, strong and accepting not only of yourself, but of others through your experiences. You are proud to be born this way, and brave in your vulnerability with this community. Watching you all create a safe space online for people to be compassionate is the greatest gift you could ever give me. My weight/loss/gain since I was child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But YOU have. My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I’m happy. Happier then I’ve ever been. I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And I love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well. We have had numerous blog posts on Lady Gaga in the past, and our most popular one by far has been the Born This Way Tour 2012 entry, which signals to us at SeatGeek, the ticket price forecast experts, that tickets for her third concert tour are going to be selling hot.
Lady Gaga has stated that she wants her Born This Way Tour 2012 to be more like a continuation of The Monster Ball Tour. Based on data from the last tour, Lady Gaga ticket prices have averaged $182.43 which is interesting because despite her large popularity and huge Little Monsters fan base, her tickets are still not on the list for the top most expensive tickets over the past couple of years. However, that may all come to a change because I am stunned by the average ticket prices for the iHeartRadio Music Festival featuring Lady Gaga that just ended 2 weeks ago–a whopping average of $1011.17. That’s about 5 times the price of Monster Ball Tour prices!

Well this hike in ticket prices to see Lady Gaga comes at no surprise because if you take a look at 2010 summer concerts, Lady Gaga topped the list for average ticket prices at $220. Popular artists that had concerts over this summer were Rihanna and Cee-Lo, Usher and Akon, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Travis Barker, Phish, Queens of the Stone Age, 30 Seconds To Mars, and many other artists.
How Expensive are Lady Gaga Ticket Prices Compared to Other Singers?
It is no secret that Lady Gaga concert tickets are expensive, but how do they compare to the ticket prices of fellow stars Rhianna, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry? Below is a chart with a year worth of ticket data comparing the average ticket prices for these songstresses.
It’s no surprise to see that Lady Gaga tickets are more expensive than her contemporaries. What is surprising to me is that the average Lady Gaga ticket price is not much higher than the average ticket prices of the other singers. Average ticket prices of $178 is still high. I wouldn’t classify myself as a “Little Monster” or really a monster of any size, but I do enjoy an occasional Lady Gaga track (Bad Romance is my favorite of her singles) and I have heard that her shows are spectacular. Yes that’s right, when she isn’t covering herself in meat…pause…or doing other superfluous stunts to propagate her mystique, Gaga is usually on tour giving as many Monsters as possible the chance to see what “The Fame” is all about.
Don’t let the name fool you, these Little Monsters (or their parents…) shell out big bucks to see Gaga, as they did in 2010 when Gaga was one of the top searched for artists and had tremendous ticket sales as her Monster Ball Tour beat Justin Bieber on ticket demand and was of the most demanded summer tours. Lada Gaga Tickets 2012 – Expectations
Gaga’s teased the 2012 tour, but dates have not yet been announced. So what do we know? Well nothing concrete, but based off what I am seeing with iHeartRadio Festival tickets with the *cheapest* available tickets over $500, I suspect Gaga’s tickets for her 2012 Born This Way Ball Tour to be as hot as ever. Check out the data from all her most recent concerts below to get a proxy of what you might expect to pay to see Gaga live, unless you are lucky enough to scoop some up in a pre-sale. 8/29/2012 Update: As good as her word, Lady Gaga has added even more dates to her ever-expanding Monster’s Ball tour. This time around, the pop diva will visit Russia to perform a pair of shows scheduled for December 9 in St. Petersburg and December 12 in Moscow.
Known for its frigid temperatures, we can only imagine the kind of jacket Gaga will bring for her Russian winter stay. To speculate even more, what do her late-in-the-year dates mean for 2013 tour plans?
8/6/2012 Update: Lady Gaga has extended her 2012 Monster’s Ball tour to include Latin American tour dates. “SURPRISE!! HERE THEY ARE, THE FIRST ANNOUNCED LATIN AMERICAN BTWBALL TOUR DATES, DONT WORRY THERE WILL BE MORE!,” announced the Mama Monster, via her website, littlemonsters.com. Check out the full list of Gaga’s new fall shows below – we’ll be sure to update once the popstar makes good on her promise for “THERE WILL BE MORE!”

7/27/2012 Update: Lady Gaga wants to help other little Monsters in need, and two very lucky fans along the way. The “Born This Way” pop star will be auctioning off two “access all area” passes to her Monster’s Ball tour for charity. Those who’ve dreamt of spending a night on the road with Gaga – including backstage and rehearsal access, as well as premium seats for the night’s performance – need to submit a bid at CharityBuzz.com. The fans behind the two most generous donations will be granted one-night-only, full access to the Lady herself.
4/3/2012 Update: Lady Gaga will reportedly announce her US and UK tour dates on Tuesday April 10th, will tickets going on sale April 13th. No word yet on if tickets for all shows will be available on the 13th but we’ll keep you posted.
