Lana Del Rey & Courtney Love to Have ‘Endless Summer’
Retro-inspired chanteuse Lana Del Rey has just revealed the first leg of tour dates for her upcoming 2015“Endless Summer” tour, and she’s being joined on some dates by the first lady of grunge rock herself—Courtney Love. The duo are promoting Ultraviolence, Del Rey’s latest record, and an as-yet-untitled solo album by Love expected to be released in 2015. The tour starts on May 7 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX, before continuing onto Morrison, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Los Angeles, CA; Tinley Park, IL; Montreal, QC; Bristow, VA; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; and West Palm Beach, FL. Don’t see your city? Not to fret—more dates will be announced soon. For the dates that Love is not playing with Del Rey, another special guests will be joining, but he or she has yet to be revealed. Born in New York City and raised in Lake Placid, NY, Elizabeth Woolridge Grant (that’s Lana’s real name) signed her first recording contract in 2007 with 5 Points Records. She received her first Grammy nominations in 2013, grabbing a nod for Best Pop Vocal Album for Paradise and Best Song Written For Visual Media for “Young and Beautiful.” Courtney Love is best known for her work as the lead singer for the grunge-rock band Hole, as well as her marriage to late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
