Lil’ Kim Goes ‘Back 2 Da Streets’ With New Album
Lil’ Kim New Album
Brooklyn emcee and badass lady Lil’ Kim released her double platinum-selling solo debut, Hardcore, in November of 1996, then a member of Biggie’s Junior M.A.F.I.A.. A whopping 17 years later (whoa), Lil’ Kim herself has announced via Twitter that she is reviving her Hardcore skills with the upcoming mixtape, Hardcore 2K13: Back 2 Da Streets. This is Lil Kim‘s first studio album since 2005’s The Naked Truth, though she released mixtapes Ms. G.O.A.T. in 2008 and Black Friday: The Mixtape in 2011. There’s no official word on a release date for the record, so stay tuned (and wait with bated breath) for more information. We’ll update you when we can!

To date, Lil’ Kim is the only female rapper to have reached #1 on the Billboard charts (“Lady Marmalade” went there in 2001), and she’s listed on VH1’s “100 Greatest Women in Music” at #45. Lil’ Kim also has the second-longest selling career for a female rapper, behind only the great Missy Elliott.
