Former Fleetwood Mac member Lindsey Buckingham has been out of the touring game since suffering a heart attack in February of last year. According to statements from his family, the treatment that saved his life also did significant damage to his vocal chords, making it difficult for the classic rock icon to perform. However, it appears that Buckingham has recovered enough to hit the road, as he’s shared a brief run of solo dates starting in April.

The dates come nearly two years after Buckingham was booted from Fleetwood Mac. He sued the band over breach of contract and the case was settled out of court. Ultimately, the band appears content with Buckingham’s replacements, Neil Finn of Crowded House and Mike Campbell of the Heartbreakers.

“We’re very, very committed to Neil and Mike, and that passed away a time ago, when Lindsey left,” Mick Fleetwood told Rolling Stone of the band’s current lineup. “And it’s not a point of conversation, so I have to say no. It’s a full drama of Fleetwood Mac, no doubt. His legacy is alive and well, and as it should be. A major, major part that will never be taken away, and never be down-spoken by any of us.”

Buckingham fans will still get the chance to see him play the hits, however. He’ll hit the road on April 25, beginning his tour with a show at Las Vegas’ Smith Center. He gets as far as St. Louis’ Pageant before turning south to shows in Huntsville and Memphis. The tour quickly closes with shows at the Fox Tuscon Theatre and Cajon’s Magnolia Performing Arts Center in May.
