To celebrate the contributions they’ve made to the music industry and countless musicians through the years, the Fox Theatre in Atlanta is hosting a tribute concert for Lynyrd Skynyrd on November 12. The title itself, “One More for the Fans,” is in honor of one of the band’s many good deeds in its storied history; this very theatre was in danger of closing nearly 40 years ago in 1976, and the band’s live album One More for the Road was recorded and sold in an (ultimately successful!) effort to save the Southern music landmark.

The house band for the evening, which will complement and spell the various acts on the card, will be conducted by Don Was. This celebration of rock royalty in Atlanta is sure to be a hot ticket, especially with the honorees scheduled to play, so look for tickets when they go on sale this Monday, August 18.
