Mark Lanegan Band to Get Back on the Road
Alternative rocker Mark Lanegan is putting back together his eponymous band and hitting the road. He’s just announced some U.S. tour dates for this fall, all in support of the forthcoming album Phantom Radio, due out October 21 from Vagrant Records. There are only ten dates, but we’re sure they’ll pack plenty of music into them. The Mark Lanegan Band will kick things off on October 29 in Seattle, WA at Neptune Theatre before heading to Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Englewood, CO; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY (at the Marlin Room at Webster Hall); and, finally, Washington, DC, for a final show at November 9. This is Lanegan’s first tour with a full band since 2012. Tickets are on sale Friday, September 19 at 10:00am local time.
Mark Lanegan began his musical career with the grunge band Screaming Trees. During his time in the band, Lanegan also sustained a low-key solo career, releasing The Winding Sheet in 1990. Since then, he’s put out six more studio albums and collaborated with artists such as Nirvana, Lead Belly, Layne Staley, Queens of the Stone Age, Belle and Sebastian, and many more.
