Metronomy Make Plans For Fall U.S. Tour
Though UK-based pop band Metronomy just wrapped up their latest United States tour, it seems as though they can’t get enough. Following a variety of European festival tour dates this summer, the band has just announced plans to return Stateside in the fall, all in support of Metronomy’s latest release, Love Letters. The 21-date tour kicks off in Toronto, ON on September 10 at The Hoxton before heading to Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Washington, DC; New York, NY (at Irving Plaza); Brooklyn, NY; Boston, MA; Miami, FL (at III Points Festival); Mexico City, MX (at Corona Capital Festival); Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Solana Beach, CA; Portland, OR; and Seattle, WA, among others. The tour culminates on October 26 in a show in Vancouver, BC at The Imperial. For information on ticket prices and on-sale times, visit Metronomy’s website.
Formed in Devon, England, in 1999, Metronomy consists of composer and singer Joseph Mount, saxophonist Oscar Cash, drummer Anna Prior, and bassist Gbenga Adelekan. Originally, the band focused their efforts on instrumental electronic tunes, but, as of late, they’ve branched out into vocal electronic pop. Mount also releases remixes under the Metronomy name, doing so for artists like Goldfrapp, Zero 7, Kate Nash, and Lykke Li. Their latest album, Love Letters, was released in March of 2014.
