Michael Franti Tour 2013

Social-justice activist/poet/singer/songwriter/frontman Michael Franti will be taking his lengthy list of titles and band, Spearhead, out on tour with him this summer. The cross-country (with a few Canadian dates thrown in there for good measure) jaunt has been dubbed the All Peoples Tour, and will kick off next week, on June 30, in Saskatchewan. This latest round of shows is in support of Michael Franti and Spearhead’s latest album and tour namesake, All People, which is set to drop July 30.

The summer leg of the All Peoples tour will hit 24 cities over the span of four months. After taking a brief breather – for all of two days – following their September 2 performance in Indianapolis, IN, Michael Franti and co. plan to hop right back on the bus, and head out on the second leg of their tour beginning September 4. The group will then perform another 24 concerts before finally bringing things to a close in LA on October 12. Luckily, Michael Franti seems to have the necessary energy for what lies ahead: “Be ready for some surprises and ready to rock out. See ya in the parking lot, see ya on the street, see ya on stage!!!” he recently announced to his fans.
