Mike Gordon Announces Solo Tour, New Album
Mike Gordon Tour
Longtime Phish member Mike Gordon is going solo: His newest studio album, Overstep, will be released on February 25, and he’s touring to promote it. To celebrate the release of the bassist’s fourth album, Gordon and his band – including members Scott Murawski, Craig Myers, Tom Cleary, and Todd Isler – are hitting the road on a North American tour, kicking off in Syracuse, NY, at Westcott Theatre, and moving through New York City, Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Vancouver, BC, and many more. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
A founding member and the longtime bassist of mega jam band Phish, Mike Gordon met fellow band founders Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman, and Jeff Holdsworth while they were all matriculated at the University of Vermont in the early 1990s. Fun fact: besides playing in the band, Gordon also acted as the public relations coordinator, fan contact, and money manager for his band until they became just too big for self-management. He’s solely written 19 original Phish songs and co-authored another 25, such as “Mound,” “Train Song,” “The 555,” “Snow,” “Sugar Shack” and more.
