moe. Goes Unplugged at City Winery in NYC
moe. Tour
Moe. has announced a rare acoustic set for January 2014 at City Winery in NYC. The band will be supporting Trigger Hippy’s performance featuring Joan Osborne, Jackie Greene and Steve Gorman of the Black Crowes, Tom Bukovac and Nick Govrik. The set is not formally part of their previously announced winter tour and will take place during their brief hiatus from the larger tour schedule over the first three weeks of the year.

The moe. acoustic show follows a weekend at City Winery featuring an APAP showcase and a performance by Big Bad VooDoo Daddy. Later in the week, the venue will feature a three night of shows by Alejandro Escovedo. As for the band they’re supporting, Trigger Hippy released a new EP in November, and this is one of five shows they have currently announced for January. Not only is it unique that moe. – in all of their jam-band glory – would perform an acoustic set, but City Winery is a much smaller venue than fans are used to seeing the band in. Tickets for the event will likely sell out pretty quickly, so stay tuned to SeatGeek as they become available on the secondary market.
