Motion City Soundtrack made it very clear that the future freaked them out. So, back in 2016, they opted not to be a part of it. The band launched one last tour before going on hiatus. While things certainly haven’t gotten any better since then, fans of the band can say everything is alright. The group just announced a reunion tour that kicks off on New Year’s Eve and runs through January.
MCS will start their short reunion run at Chicago’s House of Blues on New Year’s Eve. The rest of the Midwest will get their chance to see the group in the following week before Justin Courtney Pierre and Co. head for the Eastern Seaboard. Shows at New York’s Webster Hall and the Philadelphia and Silver Spring outposts of the Fillmore follow. Southern MCS die-hards will have to meet the band in Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville or Dallas. The tour will travel through west before closing out with a run up the Pacific Coast Highway that ends at Seattle’s Neptune Theatre on January 28.
