Hardcore Tom Petty & the Heartbreaker fans have likely heard of Mudcrutch, the early ’70s pre-curser to Petty and his Heartbreakers. (And fans of WTF with Marc Maron may recall keyboardist Benmont Tench discuss the band at length in his 2014 interview.) The group–comprised of Petty, Tench and Mike Campbell–will release the band’s sophomore album, 2, on May 20.

In support of the new tunes, they’ll be hitting the road for a summer tour, kicking off on May 26 at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO, followed by stops in the Midwest, South and East Coast. After a run of shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Mudcrutch will take their bow on June 28 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. Check below for more deets.
