The Musical Comedy ‘Murder for Two’ is Going on a 9-City Tour
The whodunit musical comedy/mystery Murder for Two is going on tour. The production is currently performing at the Temple of Music and Art in Tucson, closing on December 21, as well as an ongoing concurrent run at the Cabaret at Theater Square in Pittsburgh closing on January 18. Cast and crew will then take over the Herberger Theatre Center in Phoenix from December 31 to January 18, followed by runs at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre from January 24 to March 1, Des Moines’ Temple Theater from March 10 to 1 and Oklahoma City’s Lyric Theatre from March 25 to April 12. The musical will arrive on the West Coast with a stint in Laguna, California from April 22 to May 17, followed by a run in Los Angeles from May 27 to July 7. The musical will then fly across the country to Philadelphia, where it’ll run from June 6 to 28. The production will then finish up with a run at Albany’s Capital Rep from July 10 to August 16.
Featuring book and music by Joe Kinosian with additional book and lyrics by Kellen Blair, Murder for Two stars Kinosian and Ian Lowe and is characterized as a mix of zany comedy and murder mystery. It’s official press release describes it as “a hilarious musical murder mystery with a twist: one actor investigates the crime, the other plays all of the suspects and they both play the piano!”
