My Brightest Diamond Plans New Album, Tour
Singer Shara Worden, also known as My Brightest Diamond, has just revealed that she’ll be releasing the follow-up to her 2011 album All Things Will Unwind. This Is My Hand will be released on September 16, and to promote the album, My Brightest Diamond will be touring the United States. She’ll kick off her North American tour dates at the Music Box Theatre in Detroit, MI on September 19, and then travel to Toronto, ON; New York, NY; Austin, TX (for the Austin City Limits Music Festival); Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Portland, OR; and Los Angeles, CA; with a final date at The Casbah in San Diego on December 13. Support for the tour will come in the way of Aoife O’Donovan, Olga Bell and the CMF Orchestra, Dance Heginbotham, Brooklyn Rider, Death Speaks, and Stargaze, depending on your show date. The project of multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Shara Worden, My Brightest Diamond has recorded and performed with artists such as The Decemberists and Sufjan Stevens. They’ve released three studio albums: 2006’s Bring Me the Workhorse, 2008’s A Thousand Shark’s Teeth, and 2011’s All Things Will Unwind.
