My Morning Jacket’s Spontaneous Residency
UPDATE
After treating their fans this summer to their “Spontaneous Curation Series,” My Morning Jacket continues their new tradition of letting their fans to select the playlists for their shows this December. The band announced a three night residency at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY from December 27 through December 29.
In addition to the Port Chester shows, where no songs will be repeated, the band also announced a New Year’s Eve show in Boston at Agganis Arena, which will not be a part of the “Spontaneous Curation Series.”

My Morning Jacket is expanding their summer tour with a new series of West Coast dates that have a very cool spin on them for die hard fans of the band. The shows in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California are part of their “Spontaneous Curation Series.” These dates will allow fan club members and concertgoers to select the setlist for each performance. The dates, scheduled for September 7 in Redmond, September 8 in Troutdale, September 9 in Boise, September 11 through 13 in Los Angeles and September 15 in Berkeley, will follow the extensive summer tour the band has with Band of Horses throughout August.

My Morning Jacket is hitting numerous cities this August following their headlining performance at the Forecast Festival and is bringing along some friends in Band of Horses.
The bands were last on the same bill back in December 2011 at Madison Square Garden and they had so much fun together they are taking to the road on a tour that will visit Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Detroit, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, Charlotte and Raleigh.
The band is currently in the midst of a Spring tour and will be hitting European cities in June. Tickets for the August shows with Band of Horses go on sale May 4.
