Nick Jonas is having a busy early September. First, he sang the national anthem on Sunday to start off the US Open Women’s Finals, (to mixed reactions), then on Monday he released a new single of his upcoming solo album (which you can listen to below) and now he’s released a bunch dates for his upcoming tour to promote the album. Jonas will kick things off at the Showbox in Seattle on September 22. From there, it’s on Arizona and then a couple shows in Texas. After playing Chicago’s Bottom Lounge on October 2, he’ll head on to a couple performances throughout the Midwest and then Lee’s Palace in Toronto on October 6. He’ll close out the tour at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston on October 8.

Although he was the youngest member of the Disney channel fueled teen-pop juggernaut, the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas was arguably the center of the group — he was the first of the brothers to have a career performing (on Broadway no less) and the band was formed when the then 12-year-old Nick needed backup singers in an attempt to launch a solo music career. The band he formed with older siblings Kevin and Joe released four albums (three of which went platinum) before the group spit for good last year (there was also an album with his other band Nick Jonas and the Administration in 2010). Since then, Nick has focused on acting, both on stage and screen, and his upcoming solo album, which is to be titled Nick Jonas and will hit stores sometime this fall.
