Sure, we cover a lot of music festivals here on Seatgeek, but who said that festivals have to be just hipsters swaying to cowbells? Or EDM lovers dancing to the screeching of ambulance sirens? What if you just want to go somewhere, hang out, and laugh your butts off? Well, you’re in luck – The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival (Oddball Festival for short) is coming to a town near you! Sponsored by the always guffaw-worthy Funny or Die, Oddball features comedy giants such as Dave Chappelle, Flight of the Conchords, Al Madrigal, Demetri Martin, Chris D’Elia, Kristen Schaal, Hannibal Buress, and more. They’re stopping all around the U.S. beginning in late August, with gigs in Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Camden, NJ; and Irvine, CA, just to name a few.

Not only does Oddball Festival mark Dave Chappelle‘s true return to proper touring (you may remember that he abruptly walked out of his eponymous show in 2005, only to wander around Africa and become a hermit), it marks the largest comedy festival promoted by big names such as Funny or Die and Live Nation.
