To help promote their third studio album, Native, the boys of One Republic will head out on tour this coming summer. Fittingly, the very first stop on their two-month concert trek will be in lead singer Ryan Tedder’s native state of Oklahoma. The band’s opening gig in Tulsa on July 19 will be followed by a few more shows out West, along the East Coast and down South. According to their most recent announcement, the group’s final performance is slated for August 18 in White Creeks, TN.
One Republic first achieved fame via MySpace, back when the social media site was more about promoting musicians, and less about the self-promotion of middle-school girls. The first single “Apologize” off their debut album Dreaming Out Loud received the largest amount of airplay in radio history back in 2007, only to be broken not long after by another song co-written by Tedder, Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love.” Although the pop/rockers have yet to replicate the success of “Apologize,” their most recent record, Native, has garnered largely favorable reviews. But then, don’t take the critics’ word for it – hear for yourself how One Republic’s new material compares with the classics by catching the group live on tour this summer! See discount links below:
