Hot off their United States television debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (they performed “Best of Friends” and “Rattlesnake Highway,” if you wanted to know) and a stint at Lollapalooza, London rock four-piece Palma Violets has just announced a new group of tour dates to take place this fall. They’ve already sold out a show at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, so they’re returning to L.A. at the El Rey, as well as making stops in New York City at Webster Hall, Mexico City, Seattle, WA; Vancouver, BC, and a few more. Tickets are available now, so get them while you can – they’re sure to go fast!
Palma Violets were formed in London in 2011, the project of frontmen Samuel Fryer and Chilli Jesson. Their first single, “Best of Friends”, took the honor of NME’s 2012 “Song of the Year”, and the band was nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll. Past winners of the “Sound of…” include music stars Adele, Jessie J, Keane, and 50 Cent, so Palma Violets is in good company. Their debut album, 180, is available now via Rough Trade Records.
