Grunge kings Pearl Jam will spend their collective summers in Europe, but they have just announced plans for a short United States to take place this October. The shows will kick off on October 1 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, OH, and then move through St. Louis, MO; Austin, TX (twice, for the Austin City Limits Festival); Tulsa, OK; Lincoln, NE; Detroit, MI; Moline, IL; and St. Paul, MN, among others, to finish up with a date on October 22 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. Expect to hear all of your favorite Pearl Jam songs, along with the newer tunes from their last album, Lightning Bolt, released just last year. Tickets for the tour will hit the market on Friday, May 30.

Formed in Seattle, WA in 1990, Pearl Jam is considered to be one of the founding bands of the grunge genre. Since its start, the band has been made up of guitarist Stone Gossard, singer Eddie Vedder, bassist Jeff Ament, and guitarist Mike McCready, couple with a few different drummers (their current, Matt Cameron, formerly of Soundgarden, has been with them since 1998). The band broke into the mainstream with their debut album, 1991’s Ten, and they’ve sold over 60 million records worldwide.
