Perfume Genius’ Future Is ‘Too Bright’
Mike Hadreas, the genius behind, well, Perfume Genius, just released Too Bright, his latest in a line of exemplary studio albums. He’s also released a few over-the-top videos (you see the one for “Fool” below), much to the delight of his fans. To top it all off, Perfume Genius will be heading out on tour, as well! Going on the road with Norwegian singer Jenny Hval, Perfume Genius will stop at the Wexner Center in Columbus, OH, on March 16. After that, the duo will stop in Washington, DC; New York, NY (at Stage 48); Cambridge, MA; Providence, RI; Hamden, CT; Philadelphia, PA (at Union Transfer); Kingston, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; and, finally, Knoxville, TN, at Big Ears Festival. Seattle-based musician Mike Hadreas formed Perfume Genius in 2008. His debut album, Learning, was released in 2010, followed by Put Your Back N 2 It in 2011, and, finally, Too Bright, this year.
