Noise artist Pharmakon has just announced her touring plans for 2015, in which she’ll be performing her recent Bestial Burden release (a short film version of which you can check out below). The brooklynite will kick things off at the AS220 in Providence on January 13 and then head up through Maine to Canada, where she’ll play shows in Quebec and Ontario. She’ll then cross the border back into the United States to play Detroit on January 18 and then play through the Midwest toward the Eastern seaboard, eventually playing Philadelphia’s PhilaMoCA on January 28. After that, she’ll head South through Maryland, Virginia and Atlanta, before playing a series of shows throughout Texas. She’ll play the Hideout in San Diego on January 12 and head up the West coast, through LA and San Francisco, and into the Pacific Northwest. Her last show of the tour will be at Stage 112 in Missoula, MT, February 24.

A New York native, Pharmakon (real name Margaret Chardiet) came up through the Brooklyn DIY scene and began putting out music in 2007. She released her first full album Abandon in 2013 and its follow up, Bestial Burden, the next year. Inspired by a real-life medical issue that required emergency surgery, Bestial Burden is described as a “documentation of three happenings that took place at an undisclosed location in Providence, RI, August 2014.”
