Founding Deadhead Phil Lesh has just announce plans to play three shows at his own venue, San Rafael, CA’s Terrapin Crossroads. He’ll lead the East Coast All Stars (featuring Scott Metzger, Tom Hamilton, Jason Crosby, and Joe Russo) on October 6, and later that month, on October 24 and 25, Lesh will gather with a bunch of friends—namely, Jeff Chimenti, Tony Leone, John Kadlecik, and Stanley Jordan. In the spirit of the New Year, Lesh is also planning a Rosh Hashanah celebration on September 24 at Terrapin Crossroads, culminating in music and a family-style dinner fit for the occasion. Tickets for all events are available now via the venue’s website. For more information on Lesh’s touring schedule, visit his website.

Born in Berkeley, CA in 1940, Phil Lesh rose to fame as a founding member and bassist of the Grateful Dead. After the band, well, disbanded in 1995, Lesh went on to perform with Phil Lesh and Friends, which paid homage to his old band by playing covers, original songs, and more. In recent years, Lesh has played with former bandmate Bob Weir as a part of Furthur.
