Sing “Auld Lang Syne” With Phish
Following your favorite band around the country? Well, Phish-a-philes, this December you can rest for a few days. Filed under “things-that-are-not-that-surprising” news, Phish has just announced that they will keep with tradition and play their annual New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden in New York City. On December 28, 29, 30 and 31, Phish will perform at MSG for their 28th, 29, 30th, and 31st time (what a coincidence, huh?). Want tickets? A pre-sale lottery for all four shows is currently underway on the band’s website until October 7. On October 12, the public onsale starts via Ticketmaster.
Phish has been touring valiantly since 1985, and although the band has no real airplay or traditional commercial success, they’ve gained themselves a loyal and (some would say) rabid fan base. Phish is known especially for their live performances and have inspired a wave of new bands who feature improvisation heavily in their shows.
