When you’re a jam band, carrying on is what you do. It’s deep down in the DNA of the improvisational and long-winded style of rock. Coming back around for one more is what sets the genre apart. As such, it shouldn’t be surprising that just about every top-tier jam act makes a point of staying out on the road, from the many iterations and offshoots of the Grateful Dead, to their modern forebears like Phish. The latter will be hitting the trail yet again in 2020, playing 27 dates over the summer.

The tour starts in mid-July with multiple nights at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon. Three nights at the Gorge Amphitheatre and two nights at the Chase Center in San Francisco follow soon thereafter. The band makes a leap as they head into August, flying over to dates in Arkansas, Alabama and Georgia. Two shows at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater carry Phish toward a three-show stand at Indiana’s Ruoff Music Center. The tour closes in early September with a three-set blowout at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
