Primus Tour

Primus combines the best of both the music world and the entertainment world with their quirky approach to music. The band feels as though it’s difficult to label their style because it doesn’t fit perfectly into the mold of any single genre such as alternative rock, experimental rock, or punk metal. Even the name of Primus’ Les Claypool’s record label, for instance–it’s called Prawn Song Records parodied after Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song label–suggests the band likes having fun. It’s clear to see that as much as they care about music, they like to add some entertainment value to it as well, defying any conventionally established genre and creating a sound of their own. Starting in May, see the band for yourself on their two-month tour, with special appearances with Queens of the Stone Age, Beats Antique, and the Deen Ween Group.

The tour kicks off with a three day gig at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, NV, starting on May 1. Hear them perform with Queens of the Stone Age in Kansas City, MO, on May 13. If you’re big into summer festivals, don’t miss Primus at Summer Camp starting on May 23 at Chillicothe, IL. Head on out to Big Flats, NY, on June 27 to hear the band perform at The Summer State at Tags with the Deen Ween Group. The last stop will be in Silver Spring, MD, at the Fillmore on June 29.
