We have been keeping tabs on the Chicago Prince shows since they were announced with periodic updates over the past few weeks. Called it curiosity or a public service, we look to bring you the latest and greatest when it comes to the Purple One. The shows have garnered a ton of buzz in and around the Windy City, especially after his surprise performance at the iHeart Radio Music Festival.

Tonight marks the start of the three night stand at Chicago’s United Center for Prince. What has not received as much publicity as the three arena shows is the fact that he will also perform at a much smaller venue, the Chicago House of Blues each night – right after the main show has completed. Tickets for these shows, called “The Official Purple After Jam,” are on sale now and the best deals can be found right here at SeatGeek. Check out the links below for tickets to Prince’s shows at both the United Center and the House of Blues.

The Purple One loves him some Chicago. Previously having announced gigs at the United Center on September 24 and September 25, Prince has now added a third show on September 26 to the mix. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that new shows may continue to be added as Prince builds his partnership with the Rebuild The Dream project (details below in our original post).

Tickets for the September 26 show go on sale to the general public tomorrow, September 12. For the best deals on all Prince tickets, keep it locked here at SeatGeek.

As we hinted at earlier in the week, Prince’s announcement of a show at the United Center in Chicago would be a prelude of more things to come here in the United States. That being said, the Purple One announced a second show in Chicago at the United Center to take place on September 25. Along with the previously revealed September 24 show, tickets will go on sale to the public on September 6 at 10 am.

Continue to keep it locked here at SeatGeek as more Prince news is announced.

Diminutive in stature and predominant in sex appeal, Prince is one of few artists who can rock a paradox like it’s a stadium anthem. Incidentally, he’s about to do both, with an upcoming September concert residency at Chicago’s United Center.

Although only one date, September 24, has been confirmed, media speculation surrounding the term “residency” has the “Purple Rain” icon playing a number of Windy City shows as part of his Welcome 2 America tour. The Welcome 2 series first began in 2010, and has included similar residencies in New York and LA, in which Prince treated the latter city to a 21-show run. The nonstop, two-year jaunt is part of the musician’s partnership with Rebuild the Dream, an advocacy program that lobbies on behalf of, and provides education services for, middle and lower-income Americans.

Because you needed further reason to see the one-named megastar live, representatives from Rebuild the Dream will be on hand September 24 (and possibly later dates) to provide information on the organization’s mission. Tickets for the first of Prince’s Chicago shows are on sale now, and we’ve got ticket links to the secondary ticket market’s offerings below:
