Summer Concerts in the Heart of Brooklyn at Prospect Park
Prospect Park Concerts
Prospect Park, located between Park Slope, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Ditmas Park, Windsor Terrace and Flatbush Avenue, Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in Brooklyn, NY, has become an increasingly popular destination for outdoor summer concerts in the five boroughs of New York City.
Over the years, bands and artists that have staged concerts at the Prospect Park Bandshell include the following: The Flaming Lips, who will actually perform there this year as well; Foster The People; Animal Collective; They Might Be Giants; Bon Iver; Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan; The Decemberists; Passion Pit and Norah Jones.
This summer, the concert lineup will include the following shows at Prospect Park: The Great GoogaMooga with both the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Flaming Lips on May 17; Jim James with The Roots on June 18; My Morning Jacket on June 19; Belle and Sebastian with Yo La Tengo on July 11 and Robert Plant with The Sensational Space Shifters on July 27.
