Ray Lewis Injury Affects Raven Ticket Prices
Sunday Night Football is just two days away and we at SeatGeek would like to present you with some insightful information on some of the biggest news this week. This morning ESPN reported that Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will be sidelined for the first time since 2007. Lewis injured his toe in last Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Prior to his injury, Lewis had played in 57 consecutive games with the Ravens. The injury ended his run for the all time leader in consecutive starts by a linebacker, which is currently held by Derrick Brooks.
After learning about this news, we looked at our data to see if ticket prices for this Sunday’s game would be affected. Although our data is limited at this point, average ticket prices have decreased by $47. Another interesting note about Sunday’s game is that it will serve as a tiebreaker for the second place spot in the AFC North. The Ravens and The Cincinnati Bengals are tied behind the Steelers, which are one spot ahead.
With only seven games left in the season, this is a big game for the Ravens. All Ravens fans should go out and support the team, despite the fact that Ray Lewis will not be playing. To purchase tickets to this Sunday’s game go to our ticket page.
