Real Estate to Tour This Fall
New Jersey-based Real Estate are hitting the road—they have just announced a bunch of tour dates in the United States and Britain. The tour is not without its festival dates, and it kicks off June 12 at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. Next, Real Estate will play shows in Philadelphia, PA; Montauk, NY (at The Surf Lodge); Chicago, IL (at the Pitchfork Music Festival); San Francisco, CA; Big Sur, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA (at Bumbershoot); Chapel Hill, NC; Cincinnati, OH; Austin, TX; New York, NY; and Pittsburgh, PA. The last date on their tour will take place in London, on October 29 at Shepherds Bush Empire. Tickets for all of their festival shows are already on sale, and tickets for their one-off concerts will hit the market on Friday, June 13.
Formed in 2008 in Ridgewood, NJ, Real Estate is comprised of singer and guitarist Martin Courtney, guitarist Matt Mondanile, bassist Alex Bleeker, drummer Jackson Pollis, and keyboardist Jonah Maurer. They’ve released three studio albums—2009’s Real Estate, 2011’s Days, and 2014’s Atlas—to much critical acclaim, with their debut album earning an 8.5 (out of 10) rating and a “Best New Music” tag from Pitchfork. Real Estate has toured with bands such as Girls, Kurt Vile, and Deerhunter.
