The Reverend Horton Heat is rounding out 2012 with some exciting news. The musician – whose real name is Jim Heath – has just announced that he and his rockabilly trio have signed with Victory Records, and will be releasing a new album with the label in 2013. This comes after be-bopping between SubPop, Interscope and most recently, Yep Roc Records. The band will also be heading out on an extensive tour in support of the record… like, really extensive.

The “Stewed, Screwed and Tattooed” tour spans December to March, and sees the band throughout the entire big, beautiful United States. It kicked off last week, on December 4, with a gig in DC at the 9:30 Club. The band spent the weekend in Philly and Poughkeepsie, and is continuing the East Coast leg of the tour through next week. On December 18, RHH will make their way through the South, starting off with a show in Georgia at Adelphia Music Hall. From December 28 and on, it’s all West Coast dates for the boys, who will play a slew of shows in Colorado, Texas, Oregon, Arizona and Colorado.
