Rex Orange County Announces ‘Pony’ Tour Dates
Rex Orange County just announced the follow-up album to his much-loved 2017 effort, Apricot Princess. His upcoming release, Pony, will drop on October 25 and he’s heading out on the road at the start of next year to celebrate.
The new album is pretty much exclusively Alexander O’Connor. He wrote, recorded and performed the entire project at East London’s Strongroom Studios aided by his frequent engineer and producer Ben Baptie. He’ll bring these solo creations to life starting on January 9 at Phoenix’s Van Buren.
The Pony tour begins with Rex heading up the West Coast for stops at Los Angeles’ Shrine, San Francisco’s Masonic and Portlland’s Keller Auditorium. He starts heading east toward the end of the month, hitting Denver’s Filmore and Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom before back-to-back dates at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. February brings a run of East Coast dates including Boston’s House of Blues, the Radio City Music Hall and Anthem in DC. Rex heads all the way down to Miami before turning back toward the west for a series of Texas dates. The tour closes on February 27 at Atlanta’s Tabernacle.
