Rival Sons Get To Know North America With Winter Tour
Rival Sons Tour
Rival Sons, Huffington Post’s 2009 “Rock Band to Watch,” have announced plans for a headlining tour of North America. The shows will be in support of their new album, Head Down, the band’s second with Earache Records. While they’ve found plenty of success overseas – acting as support for Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC – this will be one of their first headlining gigs in North America. The tour kicks off next week on January 23, with a performance at Costa Mesa, CA, at the Segerstrom Center. They’ll spend the majority of the tour in Canada, including a show at Merchant Tap House, in Kingston, on February 13. The shows wrap up on February 16, when the four-piece blues outfit performs at Norma Jeans in London, ON. No word yet on which band will act as support.
While Head Down won’t be released physically in the U.S. until March 5, you can go online to get yourself a digital copy right now. The album marks Rival Sons’ third, and it peaked at No. 6 on the Swedish album charts and No. 19 in the United Kingdom, where the band has a large presence.
