Texas-dwelling punk rockers Riverboat Gamblers have just kicked off their fall tour. Playing alongside the band are buddies Cobra Skulls and Freshkills, and the punk rock posse is slated to tour from October 12 through November 3. They kicked off the fun last week at Asbury Park, NJ, and are currently making their way to Canada for a performance in Quebec City this evening. Also on the docket are stops in Chicago, Missouri, Alabama, and Arizona. Of course, being from Texas, they’ll be showing the state some extra attention with two performances – one in Houston, and one in Austin. The Austin performance will be the last of the tour, a city which now serves as the band’s home-base.

Since forming in 1997, Riverboat Gamblers have made the rounds on the punk rock circuit. First performing at gigs like South by Southwest and Vans Warped Tour, the band began to receive attention after opening for Rancid and Rise Against in 2009. They’ve also been featured on Tony Hawk’s “American Wasteland” and a variety of other skateboarding video games. Their most recent album, The Wolf You Feed, was released earlier this year on Volcom Entertainment.
