RNDM to Kick Off Inaugural Tour this November
In the definition of a happy coincidence, the “random” circumstances that brought together singer/songwriter Joseph Arthur and Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament – along with drummer Richard Stuverud – have resulted in one of the more original rock outfits of our “Modern Times.” That track is RNDM’s first single off their debut record, Acts, for which the trio will embark on a promotional North American tour this November.
The serendipitous meeting between the three artists occurred in 1999, when Joseph Arthur opened for Ament and Stuverud’s rock-band-on-the-side, Three Fish. While Arthur and Ament reportedly stayed in touch over email, the two didn’t form a tangible reconnection until 2010, when, after meeting in Seattle, Ament invited the vocalist to his home in Montana. Bringing in Stuverud for a spontaneous recording session, the group emerged four days later with 20 tracks and a new band. Acts, which will include 12 of the Montana-recorded songs, is scheduled for an October 30 release date – just days before RNDM kicks off their inaugural tour at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
