Robyn & Röyksopp to Make Beautiful Music on Tour
Swedish chanteuse Robyn will officially make her return to U.S. stages this summer, and she’s bringing Norwegian producing pair Röyksopp along for the ride. The pair are set to tour stateside, kicking off on June 26 in Seattle, WA, at Marymoor Park, and then continuing to San Francisco, CA, and Los Angeles, CA. Robyn & co will then take a brief break for some overseas dates, then return for gigs at New York City’s Pier 97; Washington, VA’s Filene Center at Wolf Trap, and Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston. Robyn recently announced that she was once again making music with Röyksopp, so this tour is far from a surprise—hopefully concertgoers will get to hear some of those new tunes!
Robyn Miriam Carlsson became widely known in the late 1990s from her hits “Do You Know (What It Takes)” and “Show Me Love.” As she evolved in her career, she strayed from the bubblegum pop angle in favor of a more electronic sound, earning another hit with “With Every Heartbeat”, off her 2005 eponymous album. She earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2011 for “Dancing on My Own.” Tickets for the US dates are available now for presale.
