Rooster Walk Offers A Memorial Day To Remember

Listening to progressive bluegrass and a supporting a nonprofit cause? Can you think of a better way to spend Memorial Day weekend…? This May 24-26, Rooster Walk will celebrate its fifth annual fundraiser with a few funk and twang bands at the Blue Martin Festival Grounds in Martinsville, VA. The event boasts Leftover Salmon as headliners, and Yarn, Dangermuffin, Lizzy Ross, Mandolin Orange, and After Jack among its featured performers. Interested festival-goers can also take advantage of the event’s arts & crafts and kids activities, which will be made available each afternoon of the three-day spread.

Rooster Walk Inc. is a cultural nonprofit that specializes in bringing arts events and education to the surrounding Virginia area. The organization also supports a number of local charitable endeavors, including Martinsville High School’s Penn-Shank Memorial Scholarship Fund.
