Contemporary rock’s grumpy jack-of-all-trades (and Mr. Mandy Moore) Ryan Adams has just tacked on a few more shows to his current tour. The tour is in promotion of his latest album, titled Ryan Adams, for which he just released a comedic “infomercial” that you can watch below. Adams is currently playing shows throughout Europe and the UK, but gets back stateside to perform in Santa Barbara on October 1. From there. it’s a run up into Northern California and the Pacific Northwest followed by a leg through Canada. He’ll cross the border back into the States to play Minneapolis on October 13 and go through the Midwest, eventually making his way to Texas to take the stage at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater (the first of the newly added dates). Adam’s will then take another leg in the Midwest, making stops in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. After playing Massey Hall in Toronto on November 12, he’ll play a series of shows in the Northeast, including the newly announced tour closeout, a two-night stint at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on November 22 and 23.

First making a name for himself as the frontman for alt-rock-country band Whiskeytown, Adams embarked on his critically and commercially successfully solo career in 2000 (although there was that OTHER band, the Cardinals that he led for a while in the mid-2000s). Over the past nearly decade and half, Adams has released ten albums on his own, as well as producing and collaborating with a wide variety of other artists from Will Nelson to Weezer. Adams is also known for his irritability, famous leaving angry voicemails on critics answering machines and stopping shows to confront audience members who confuse him with the “Summer of 69” singer Bryan Adams.
