San Fermin are bringing more of their brand of thoughtful art-pop to market and fans will get a chance to hear the latest from the brain of Ellis Ludwig-Leone at shows throughout the fall.

San Fermin’s new tour will promote the upcoming album The Cormorant I. The album will be part one of a two-part telling of the same story of a pair of characters’ lives. Ludwig-Leone said that the first album will follow a straightforward timeline and the second piece will be a bit more fragmentary, representing the way that memories can shift.

“As I was writing, I was thinking a lot about how memories change over time,” he said in a press release. “The stories you tell yourself and the actual events aren’t always in synch.”

Some of the tour dates will come in suitably weird spaces like Santa Fe’s Meow Wolf but most of the fall run of dates will come in mid-sized rooms suited for literary pop music. San Fermin will play venues from Boston’s Sinclair to Los Angeles’ Lodge Room in a tour that crosses the US and Canada. The trek will end at New York’s Brooklyn Steel on December 6.
