Sara Evans Won’t ‘Slow’ Down: She’s Going on Tour
Country chanteuse Sara Evans released her latest album, Slow Me Down, on March 11, 2014, and she shows no, well, signs of slowing down. She’s planned a tour to support the album, kicking off May 24 in Caruthersville, MO at the Lady Luck Casino, and then traveling through cities like Nashville, TN (for the CMA Music Festival); Lemoore, CA; Duluth, MN: Clinton, Iowa; Panama City, FL; Colorado Springs, CO; Lewiston, ID; Jackson, NJ; and Woodstock, CT, before settling down for her last show on October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV. Slow Me Down, Evans’ seventh studio album, is available now, and tickets for most of her shows are on sale.
Sara Evans got her start on RCA Records Nashville (where she’s been her whole career) with her debut album, Three Chords and the Truth–an album that did not spawn any Top 40 singles. Evans recovered fast, though, with her next four albums being certified gold (the second) and platinum (the following three), respectively. Besides a whopping seven studio albums, Evans has also released four compilation albums. She joined the cast of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars in 2006 as the first country music star to foxtrot, tango, and modern dance on their stage.
