Sarah McLachlan U.S. Tour

Lilith Fair founder and Nova Scotia native Sarah McLachlan has just announced plans to tour the United States this summer. The tour will be in support of Shine On, her first studio album in four years (it hits shelves on May 6), and it is to kick off on June 20 at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. The singer will then continue to Troutdale, OR; Santa Barbara, CA; Morrison, CO; Los Angeles, CA; Milwaukee, WI; Cincinnati, OH; Boston, MA; Bangor, MA; Saratoga Springs, NY, and many more. Sarah McLachlan has sold over 40 million records worldwide: The best-selling of the bunch is her 1997 second release, Surfacing, for which she won two Grammy Awards and four Juno (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy) Awards. As noted, McLachlan also founded Lilith Fair, an all-women touring festival that ran from the summer of 1997 to the summer of 1999, picking up again in the summer of 2010. She is also a fervent activist, and if you’ve ever watched any television at all, you’d know that McLachlan is an active supporter of the ASPCA (those sad, sad commercials).
