Love it or hate it, Skrillex is the EDM poster boy largely responsible for bringing the genre to the forefront of music over the last few years. With his almost pop-star status, it’s not surprising that he’s just announced a joint tour with rapper (and “trap lord”) A$AP Ferg. Also joining him on the tour are Big Gigantic, Alesia, and a slew of lesser-known DJs. He’ll be using his time on the road as fodder for a documentary with Red Bull Music House, which will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put together a Skrillex show.
The tour kicks off on September 26 in Miami, and includes stops at several festivals: TomorrowWorld Atlanta, Austin City Limits, and Voodoo Festival in Nola. Noticeably missing from the schedule are gigs in Boston and NYC, although there is a stop in Amherst, MA, and Syracuse, NY. November 2 marks the tour’s end, with a show in Las Vegas at XS.
