Yes, We’re Listening: Sleigh Bells Announces Summer Tour
Forget Christmas, Sleigh Bells will be out and about all summer long. The Brooklyn-based duo, comprised of vocalist Alexis Krauss and guitarist Derek Edward Miller, will be touring starting with Southern shows in Charleston and at Tampa’s Big Guava Music Festival. Since formation in 2008, the band has released three albums, and this summer’s tour will be in support of their third Bitter Rivals. The band’s music has been categorized as noise pop and has been wildly popular. Fans have heard their favorite songs on shows like The Good Wife, Girls, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, Gossip Girl, and in commercials for the iPhone and Dr. Pepper. It’s safe to say, Sleigh Bells are (ringing) everywhere.
Among other stops, the band will be making several appearances at festivals along the way this summer. Fans don’t miss them at Governor’s Ball in New York City on June 7, NXNE Festival in Toronto on June 19, Firefly Music Festival on June 21, and Mad Decent Block Party on August 1 and 2 in Washington D.C. Festivals aside, they’ll be playing in Asbury, NJ at Stone Pony, Cincinnati, OH at Bogarts, and Indianapolis, IN on June 14.
