Soulive Are Back for Their Fourth Brooklyn Bowl Residency
Soulive Tour 2013
Funk/jazz trio Soulive have announced another residency at New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl. The band, who hail from Woodstock, NY, have set up shop in the bowling alley-concert venue hybrid before, with residencies in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In the past, each night of the Brooklyn Bowl stint has included an opening act, and announced and unannounced musical guests who come out to join the band onstage. Some of these artists include Marco Benevento, Bernie Worrell and Citizen Cope.
This year, the residency begins on Thursday, March 7 through March 9, and then March 12 through March 16. In the past, Soulive has played around 10 shows during their Brooklyn stay, but this year they’re only performing eight, so don’t put it off! Tickets are on sale now, and an eight-night pass is also available for those who just can’t get enough. Special guests for each night will be announced soon. In the meantime, brush up on your Soulive by checking out their latest album, Spark, which came out on Royal Family Records last year.
