This week, Brooklyn-based, South African-born electro-pop wonders St. Lucia are all set to release a deluxe edition of their debut album, last year’s When The Night. In this new version, you’ll find three brand new songs for your aural pleasure. To commemorate this release, St. Lucia has also announced plans for a lengthy North American tour this tall, following a bunch of festival and European dates this summer. The tour, dubbed “The Night Comes Again Tour”, starts September 25 at Mr. Smalls in Pittsburgh, PA. Next, the band will visit Cleveland, OH; Charlotte, NC; Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; Winnipeg, MB; Albany, NY; Boston, MA; New York, NY (at Terminal 5); and Philadelphia, PA, before wrapping things up on November 25 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Support for the tour comes in the form of Joywave, HAERTS, and The Knocks, depending on your show. Visit St. Lucia’s website for ticketing information.

Jean-Philip Grobler, the band’s founder, was a bit of a prodigy—he started making music when he was 12 years old. He cut his teeth with rock tunes, but eventually got tired of it and went back to his first love—80’s music. He cites his influences as Phil Collins, Fleetwood Mac, and Paul Simon.
